Established in 1965, Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). In partnership with Presbyterian Homes & Services, the congregation built McKenna Crossing as part of its 80-acre Shepherd's Path campus. Shepherd of the Lake supplies the chaplaincy service to McKenna Crossing and many of the residents living there have ties to the congregation.
